Kroger Weekly Deals

These Deals are good for the following stores and dates:
Troy Store: 5/15-5/21
Warrenton Store: 5/17-5/23

Kroger doubles up to and including $.50 coupons. The Troy & Warrenton will only allow two (2) identical coupons to double per transaction per day. They accept Internet coupons as long as they scan (Troy Kroger will not accept Internet printable coupons that have a free offer such as B1G1). The stores have also placed a limit of up to 5 identical coupons can be used per day.

You also have the option to download and use a E Coupon from one of these four sites: Kroger Digital Coupons Cellfire Coupons Shortcuts Coupons Proctor and Gamble ESaver SavingStar

UPDATE: The register updates have occurred with our local stores. You are no longer able to use an E-Coupon and a Paper Coupon. If a E Coupon has been applied the register will prompt the cashier if you try to redeem a paper coupon as well. Our match ups will show the option of using a paper or an E-Coupon but not both. I contacted Kroger Corporate and the following was confirmed:

• E Coupons are considered a Manufacturer Coupon
• If you have an e-coupon on your card it will automatically be applied once your card is scanned. You do not have a option to use a higher value paper coupon if you have an e-coupon on your card. The cashier is not able to remove an e-coupon.
• E- Coupons do not double
• E-Coupons can be managed and removed that are downloaded from the Kroger.com and P&G website by accessing your Kroger Digital Coupons Account.
• Cellfire Coupons and Shortcuts Coupons coupons can not be removed from your card once they are added.

How to maximize your coupon options

• Only download coupons as you plan to use them
• Get a 2nd Kroger Card that you only use for E-Coupons Transactions, and use the other card for Paper Coupon Transactions(you could have a 2nd card under a spouses name)
• Ask customer service to specially ring up an item with the card price without using the “card” so that you could use your paper coupon(your mileage may vary on this one!)

A Few Things I Just Need to Get Off My Chest…

This is not a deal, so skip past this if you don’t feel like reading it!!

I am an upbeat positive person and since my website is a reflection of me, I try to keep things upbeat and positive as well, but there are just a few things I need to get off my chest this morning…

Just because you can…does it mean you should??

This week Dierberg’s HAD a great deal on Clorox Wipes that I posted on Tuesday!  This deal would have been great for everyone to take advantage of to pick up a FEW canisters on the cheap!  

Due to shelf clearing and people buying as many as 60 canisters in a single trip…Dierberg’s has limited the deal to just 2 canisters per transaction which means… yes you can get them for as low as $.50 each which is still a great deal, but now you can not get the Catalina (for buying 6).

Just because you CAN clear the shelves and get many items super cheap, it doesn’t mean you should!! When you do this, not only are you depleting inventory making it so that others can not take advantage of the deal, but you are creating a situation where the stores will change the rules and limit the deal and possibly change policies for future deals.

I know the shelf clearers out there are not going to agree with my opinion on this, but I just need to get it off my chest!!

How to deal with a Coupon Nazi

So you have all probably run into this situation…It happened to me on Tuesday and again this morning…

You get the cashier who wants to read every single word on the coupon (yet they have not taken a speed reading class).  Now don’t get me wrong, I am not opposed to my cashier reading the coupons, since I use my coupons appropriately and ethically, but when the cashier does not understand the coupon or the terminology used on the coupon and wants to tell you “NO” even though there is no reason why you shouldn’t be able to use it… and the person behind you in line is doing that whole “heavy sigh” thing…what do you do???

Smile, be calm and polite and try to help educate the cashier on what the coupon is valid for or explain the terminology if they don’t understand it or if they question your use of the coupon.  Being calm and friendly can get you a whole lot farther than getting upset.  If you can’t come to an agreement with the cashier, request the manager or decide if you REALLY want the items (maybe have them take them off your transaction and try again another day or with another cashier).  I personally feel that it is NOT worth getting all upset and letting a situation ruin my whole day!

This scenario ONLY WORKS when YOU know how to use your coupons appropriately!!!

When you “freak out” on a cashier (like the lady in front of me this morning), it gives cashiers a negative feeling toward all coupon users!

How do deal with a Difficult “Behinder”

What is a difficult “Behinder”??  It’s that person behind you in line who did not schedule their time appropriately and gave themselves 3 seconds to spend in the store and now they are “flipping out” and giving you the “heavy sigh” because you have 6 coupons and you are apparently ruining their whole day, because they don’t know how to schedule their own time!

SMILE!!!  Say “what a beautiful day , huh??” (even though it’s raining outside) or just ignore them!! 

Life is really too short to get upset over the small things…Smiling and being polite and courteous can get you A LONG WAY and you just feel so much better each day rather than being crabby over something that truly does not matter in the grand scheme of life!

Okay…that’s all I’ve gotta say…thanks for letting me say what’s on my mind!

You may have noticed that I have been a little MIA this past week and Cristi, Sonia and Dee have taken over my site for me!

My sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Robert, flew in from Oregon last weekend and they joined my husband and me on a “let’s go south road trip”!

We’ve had a great week on the road going from St Louis, to Tunica, Mississippi, to Memphis, Tennessee to Nashville, Tennessee and beyond! We have been having a great time and relaxing and I have spent very little time on the computer (I did sneak on a few times when no one was looking), but I just needed a little down time with family!!  Things should be back to normal on Monday!!
