POSTED IN: Pay it Forward

I decided that if  TLC would do their EXTREME COUPONING show and feature couponers going to extremes to score items to donate to tornado victims, I would be HAPPY to watch it!  But I have a feeling that’s not going to happen… 🙁

As I am sure most all of you know, there have been devastating tornadoes in the south!

I personally LOVE sharing my stockpile of goodies to help those in need…if you want to help, please read on…

LOCALLY…Today (5/4) there is a Donation Drop-off for Alabama Communities from 6:30pm – 8:00pm at the St. Charles Dollar Tree parking lot (by walmart on the service road)! They will be hauling a trailer on Thursday to two communities in Alabama that have been very hard hit. Let’s show them some big St. Charles County (and St. Louis area in general) love by FILLING THAT TRAILER with much needed items to make their lives a little bit easier.   Head over HERE for more details!!

Also, Kristen, a blogging buddy, who runs the site Couponing to Disney resides in Alabama and is working with her church to receive items for those victims who suffered losses in the latest round of storms and tornadoes.  Here’s a list of items they are in need of:

dishwashing soap

hand sanitizer
clothing in all sizes
shoes in all sizes
small toys for displaced children
ziploc bags
bandaids and other first aid products
feminine products
baby formula

You can mail your donations Kristen’s church. They will get your donations into the right hands.

Great article Carrie. Yesterday I sent 3 boxes to Birmingham. One filled with womens personal care itmes, one filled with mens. Those went to the Salvation Army. Then I sent a 3rd box to the Birmingham Humane Society filled with cat food. All of this is thanks to you! I get most of those items free or close to free because of you! A hint to others….the large priority box at the PO costs $14.95 to mail no matter the weight up to 70 lbs. Which is great cause those personal care items can get very heavy. Thanks again Carrie!

This is a great cause. I live 8 miles from one of the hardest hit areas in Alabama, Pleasant Grove. I have only been couponing for a short time but because of your website and the knowledge I have gained I was able to donate my own little stock pile of shampoo, body wash, razors, and feminine products 🙂

Thanks for all y’all are doing. I live in Alabama (about 20 mins from Eclectic which was hit pretty hard and was deaths) I’ve volunteered 2 days and so wish I could all this week but can’t because of work. But have also gathered up alot of stuff to donate. We are also selling t-shirts and all the proceeds to go the Kowaliga Fire Dpt. which is where Lake Martin got hit pretty hard as well.

Thanks and keep praying
