Schnucks: Updates from the Field – *HOT* P&G Deals

So just as I had expected…it looks like all of the P&G Products are triggering the $10 Catalina Coupon. Here are the details:Buy $30 in Participating P&G Products in a single transaction, Receive a $10 Catalina Coupon (good on your next visit).

The purpose of this trip was to get a variety of items using a single P&G insert to show that you don’t necessarily have to have a jazillion inserts or buy mass quantities of the same items to save big money!  However, I do suggest purchasing more than one paper per week, so that you can create a small stockpile!

  3. Barbara says:

I must be living on another planet. What promo is this? Where are the details? I sure feel ignorant.

  4. Chris says:

Can you use the $10 Catalina to buy the same products and have the Catalina print again?
    Thanks

  5. Julie says:

Thanks for the info, i love your blog! I just did your first scenario with the 11 products, and added 10 bags of croutons and 8 bags of beggin’ strips…my total was $17.95, plus i got my $10 catalina! Im prob gonna try rolling it too, but my schnucks is already out of some of the products.

  6. tas says:

The Schnucks in collinsville says Old Spice is NOT part of the deal. I got 2 tampax, 2 herbal essence, 2 old spice, and 4 pantene. totaling around $36, and the manager said it didnt print out because of the old spice. She didnt see it in the picture on the ad and there was no sign next to the old spice. it was quite aggrivating. And they would not let me add another product since I only needed one more dollar to make my 30 without the old spice. Just figured I’d warn you all! by the way….The shelves were still quite full, but I am out of coupons. lol

    • Jeff says:

There are small signs by some of the items that say “any P&G item” in reference to the $30 deal if I remember correctly.

  7. Jeff says:

I did the deal you posted, and the register didn’t want to take the coupons for the Old Spice Body Wash (I bought the Matterhorn flavor) Also, I went to use the $10 catalina on another purchase (meat only), and the register wouldn’t take it–items not in cart. (the cashier reluctantly rang it through). Just a heads up.

  8. chad says:

It does roll. I had to change a few items due to not having enough inserts. But alot of the items were the same.

  9. Tammy says:

Thank you for posting this. Just got back from the store. Dog treats for free!!!! Awesome! How many papers do you normally buy? Does it depend on the week. Also, they have Beggin Strips on Zumbehl in St. Charles. I using the $10 bonus on meat in a future purchase!

    • Britty says:

I wanted to just comment on your question of how many papers to buy. I started couponing last March-ish. I started with buying 2 newspapers a week (unless it’s a bad week for coupons amd there’s only 1 bad insert or something). Now, I normally buy 4, sometimes I’ll still buy 2 when it’s a bad week. When it’s a really good coupon week, for me that means a lot of food coupons, like a general mills insert or something, I’ll buy 6 newspapers. I always stick with an even number because that seems to be the most common thing with deals for stores (4/$10, stuff like that at Walgreens and stuff). So, if you’re just starting out, I’d start with 2 a week, and then up it as you get better and you know that you’ll be going out couponing. It’s not good to go buy 6 newspaper and then not organize them and not use them. Also, I almost always use my register rewards at Walgreens to buy my newspapers.

  10. Tammy says:

Also, they asked about the Old Spice but I showed the coupons with the product then they rang it up for just a regular purchase with other stuff.

  11. Debbie says:

Has anyone tried this deal using Mr. Clean magic eraser? I saw them at the Granite City store for $1.99 for a two pack and in the Home Made simple booklet there is a $1 off coupon.
