WALGREENS: MY 5 TRANSACTIONS IN 5 MINUTES – HOW I ROLL
So I headed up to Walgreens this morning to pick up a few things and had my Register Reward “rolling scenarios” in mind! I needed to get the Zyrtec soooo bad, since the hubs has been out for like 3 days and I knew a deal was headed our way!
You know, it kind of blows my mind sometimes…I got everything in the photo for less than what NON COUPONERS pay for just the Zyrtec!
So I left the house with a $5 RR from last week (Hot Pockets) and $25 cash! HERE’S HOW IT ALL SHOOK OUT!

I could have kept rolling for more FREE Carmex and such, but I like to leave plenty behind for others!!
SO FINAL TOTAL = SPENT $23.58 cash…SAVED $54.95…
STILL HAVE $6 IN RR for later!
Not a bad little trip!! Now that I have more papers, I guess I need to get a clippin’!!
Oviously everyone has different needs for their family, but this is just how I “rolled” my transactions using the coupons that I had available to me and based on my family’s needs! I share this because it can get you thinking about how to “roll” your Register Rewards to get the most for your money!!

ONLINE COUPONS SWAP
Do the sales people ever get mad bc you want it in 5 different transactions? I would be concerned of them being rude.
My cashiers know me and expect me to do more than one transaction! I ALWAYS check out in either photo or cosmetics so that I don’t hold up any other customers at the front register!

ALERT ALERT!!!! Walgreens at Mexico and K have triple coupons in sunday paper!!!!! It is a mistake by post dispatch, go get em!!!!!!! got me 3 RP, 3 SS, and 3 of everything in one paper!

When you say “rolling”, you mean using previous RRs on your next transaction, correct? But you have to be careful not to use an RR on the same item again or you won’t get another RR, correct? Just checking. I’ve heard sometimes you can use the same one again but not sure how you know when those deals are out there.
Right…I am rolling one register reward onto another transaction to spend less money and to get more register rewards…NOT roliing for the same item over and over again
My two closest Wags stores know me also but the management has, in the past several months, enforced a limit of one of each register reward item per person, per day and they won’t ring multiple tansactions like you describe. My stores are always just as swamped at cosmetics and photo so I have to get out of line and wait in line again to do another transaction. I still get my deals but I just have to pop in and out of several Walgreens stores throughout the week, which isn’t hard because there are so many available. Glad to hear that you are able to do it all in one stop!
Good job! My walgreens on Dorsett has come up with the MOST stupid regulations – if you use a coupon of RR for a transaction – you will not receive a RR!!!! How stupid???? I was ready to cry when it happened to me today… but it looks like your Walgreens is doing fine, so it gives me hope to try another location.
Are they just saying that to you or when you do your transaction that is what is happening…Tell the cashiers and Manager to look at the actual ad…Register Reward items in the ad even encourage you to use coupons! I would drop that store like a hot potato and move on to another store that’s for sure!!
I think they did something to their system. I bought breath strips and used my $1.50 coupon and the RR did not print. So the cashier called the manager and then she comes and tells me that it’s because I used a coupon. I asked if it was a new thing and she said yes.
SO YES, definately the last time I buy anything there
She doesn’t know what she is talking about. I used coupons all day today at Walgreens on Register Reward items and still got mine! I’ll be you a dollar that they didn’t have paper in the Catalina Register Reward Machine! That seems to be the number 1 reason if my Register Rewards don’t print. Oh how frustrating that cashiers and managers don’t have a clue how their own system works!!

Very frustraiting! However they did have paper… because I asked her to take my coupon off and run it without the coupon, so she did and I got 4RR… So technically I still got my item free (I just didn’t make money on it)
Then I asked if I could use te 4RR to purchase carmex and some other stuff – and both the manager and casheer told me I could, but I would not get a RR for carmex. So, I think this location has done something different. It’s frustraiting and dissapointing…
Can you tell me what the zip code is that you used to get the $5 Zyrtec in RedPlum? I didn’t get it in our market and I haven’t found one yet on the RP site that actually shows me the $5 off/1. Thanks!
It was in my Red Plum Insert that came in the Sunday paper. You can maybe order from one of the clipping services. Coupon Dede, Coupon Hunter or Coupon Clippers. You can find there buttons on the right side of the blog.

HI CARRIE I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU, I JUST WENT TO WALGREENS AND GOT 3 CARMEX AND 3 W TAMAX THAT YOU GET RR FOR SO I ASKED THE LADY I WAS GOING TO MAKE 3 TRANS. WELL I DID THE 1ST TRANS AND GOT MY RR AND WENT TO MAKE THE 2ND AND DIDNT GET MY RR???? SHOUD I GO BACK UP THERE TOMORROW AND COMPLAIN OR IS THAT THE POLICY???? I DIDNT MAKE THE 3RD BECAUSE I DIDNT HAVE THE RR AND THE CASHIER SAID WELL YOU BROKE EVEN BUT I DIDNT GET THE DEAL I WANTED YA KNOW!
When it comes to Register Rewards, if you use the RR to buy the same item, it will not produce another Register Reward. As you can see from my scenario, I used mine to buy other products from different manufacturers so that my new Register Rewards would print. I found mine in a magazine rack on the wall or sometimes you will find it on the counter.
Carie….I just sat down with my ads and coupons, as sad as it sounds I had ‘fun’ figuring out what I could get for little or nothing! I planned out my ‘rolling transactions’ for Walgreens…and I printed a copy of the coupon policy, since this will be my first time doing this! Look out Eureka Walgreens here I come!

Hello Carie! I’m not sure where to ask this, but I live in central MO, and bought 3 copies of St.Louis Post Dispatch yesterday, but all three didn’t have SS inserts. Normally, they have all inserts that Sunday Coupon Preview says, so I’m thinking these were by mistake(I made sure to check couple of papers before i buy, but they both didn’t have SS too)or someone stole SS inserts? Did you get SS insert yesterday? Thanks, Karin
Yes..there were SS in yesterdays paper. That stinks that they were missing! BOO!
